Obituary for Jean Robitaille
Mr. Jean Pierre “JP” Robitaille, died peacefully in his home on March 3, 2017 in Boca Raton, FL at the age of 62. He was surrounded by family who loved him and whom he loved. Jean is survived by his mother, Marie-Reine (Boivin) Robitaille of Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec, his children Danielle Robitaille, Paul Robitaille, Janet O’Keefe, and Jacques Robitaille, his grandchildren Kalea Russo, Victoria Robitaille, Jillian Lynch, Trevor Robitaille, Colt O’Keefe, Jax Robitaille, and Luke Robitaille,his siblings, Helene Thibodeau, Ginette Laforce, Michael Robitaille, triplet brother Jacques Robitaille, triplet sister Jeanne Clough, Claude Robitaille and Lucie Robitaille. He is preceded in death by his father Jean-Paul Robitaille and sister Lise Kozlowski.
At the age of 18 Jean joined the United States Marine Corps. He proudly served in the USMC from Aug 11, 1972 – Aug 16, 1976, the USMC Reserves from Aug 17, 1976 – Aug 10, 1978 he continued on with the Army National Guard from Aug 25, 1978 – Aug 24, 1985. Jean honored GOD and his country but he put his family above all else and was a friend to all who met him. His laughter and love will live on in all who knew him.
A funeral is scheduled for 3-7 pm at Savino-Weissman Funeral Home in Margate, FL. All are welcome to attend and celebrate JP’s life. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to The Wounded Warrior Project at www.woundedwarriorproject.org.
